The Dumb Dove

So my dad created this metal palm tree which is about 6 feet tall. Then a dove comes along and thinks, "hey, this must be a good place to make a nest!" and does so.
I am to look right at the bird and freak her out. A few days later I was doing my homework outside and I noticed the dove had an egg. I was too curious and actually freaked her out and flew away from the nest. She did come back though, and her chicks did hatch. But one day, when the baby birds still looked like porquipines, another animal, possibly a crow, came to the 'target' nest and ate the two chicks the dove had raised. It's sad, but doves are stupid and it's natural selection. This is where the dove made it's nest.
